a practice and snow

January 20, 2012

This photography project has become a kind of spiritual practice for me. I see pools as witnessing and I witness them holding their place while storms rage around them and harsh weather alters the interior place that stays still, constant, a calm, a place of  shelter for many creatures, a crib for all of us. They are shallow pools with deep seeing eyes witnessing and holding the suffering for/of the earth.
